Christmas Baking ~ Gingerbread Houses

A traditional gingerbread house is something I have always wanted to make - last year, I attempted one, but unfortunately it wasn't too much of a success. (read: it collapsed) This year, I was determined to try again, and everybody else was keen to join in on the action. We ended up making three small gingerbread houses, two of which have already began to be demolished.
Although there were some problems at first with collapsing ceilings and subsiding walls, eventually they all stood straight. Most importantly I think we all enjoyed making them and they tasted lovely!

My Gingerbread House
Isabelles Gingerbread House. I love all the garden furniture and the trees!
Susannah (10) and Samuel (8) worked on their house together - without any help at all. It looked beautiful covered in different coloured sweets.
Apologies for the terrible photos!
